Born and raised in Avignon, a historic city in the south of France, Nicolas discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age. Armed with a video camera, he began experimenting with recording and editing, laying the foundation for his lifelong pursuit of filmmaking.
Nicolas launched his career as a stuntman and stunt coordinator, gaining invaluable experience on sets and developing a deep understanding of the intricacies of moviemaking. Respected in the stunt community for his dedication and expertise, he earned the trust and support of industry professionals who encouraged him to transition into directing.
After dedicating over a year to his latest project, Annie, Nicolas showcased his exceptional versatility by taking on multiple roles, including writing, directing, cinematography, and editing. His hands-on approach reflects his passion for storytelling and his commitment to bringing a deeply personal vision to life. Director Statement
This project represents the culmination of my journey as a filmmaker, blending artistry, grit, and an unyielding passion for storytelling. Over the course of a year and a half, I poured myself into every aspect of Annie, bringing it to life through an intense, hands-on approach that spanned continents, from the quiet streets of France to the dynamic landscapes of the United States.
As the writer, director, cinematographer, producer, editor, and even choreographer, I embraced the challenges of independent filmmaking head-on. Every scene, every frame, and every nuance carries a piece of me, an intimate reflection of my vision and dedication. My background as a stuntman and stunt coordinator greatly informed the film’s action sequences, infusing them with a visceral authenticity while maintaining a focus on character-driven drama.
Annie explores themes of resilience and identity through a deeply personal lens, capturing a story that I believe will resonate universally. The journey of creating this film was as transformative as the narrative itself, and I am eager to share it with audiences who appreciate bold, independent cinema.
